Job Title	Principal Civil Structures Engineer, Central Londo
Job Description	We are seeking a Principal Civil Structures Engineer to be based in our London office in Borough High Street, SE1. The position is within the Rail business but will also support our Buildings and Infrastructure teams as required. We are seeking a chartered engineer with proven experience in the rail sector in the following areas: • Over, under and footbridges • Retaining structures • Culverts and crossings • Earth structures • Foundations The successful candidate will have: • The ability to identify, develop and present civil engineering solutions • A good understanding of geotechnical engineering and soils • Strong design/analytical skills and experience of computer modelling using 3D and finite element programmes • The ability to develop pragmatic, practical and buildable engineering solutions • Experience of working with design and build contractors • Experience of preparing fee proposals and conditions of engagement • Good communication skills • Client liaison and delivery • Internal management of projects to time and budget Experience in the following fields would be an advantage: • Previous employment/experience of working with NWR Southern area • Marine and river structures • Contract administration and ICE forms of contract • Business development experience This position offers a career opportunity to develop our rail and civil structures business further.
